Market Place is the beating heart of Macclesfield. This colourful image depicts the Treacle Market through a quirky visual reference of a can of sticky treacle pouring down onto the cobbles. This pays homage to an ancient story involving a runaway horse and wagon, which overturned and spilled treacle onto the Market Place cobbles many years ago.
This piece is from our Future Deco range, which has been inspired by the old railway posters of the 1940’s, but with a modern and playful twist.
